About The Position

Mr. Greens is looking for a highly self-motivated and confident Outside Sales Representative to join our organization. This person will have the drive and commitment to excel in a fast-paced sales environment and provide outstanding customer service as needed. We rely on our Outside Sales Representatives to drive our growth exponentially. Mr Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Georgia, Texas and Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.

Requirements

  • 2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience in the Food and/or Produce Industry.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic pc skills, proficiency in Excel, experience with MS Outlook.
  • Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug screen testing.
  • Must live in the Savannah/Hilton Head area.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of accounts.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
  • Submits activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Stay up to date on trends by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management team.
  • Attend and participate in sales and district meetings.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
  • Communicate and assist the Transportation department in preparing client delivery windows as needed; trouble shoot specific challenges that occur during the order process (out-of-stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.).
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
