About The Position

York Building Products is seeking a Sales Representative to build relationships and grow business across Maryland and Pennsylvania. This role involves being the primary contact for contractors, builders, architects, distributors, and construction professionals, assisting them with material selection, problem-solving, and project completion.

Requirements

3+ years of outside sales experience in building materials, construction, or a related field
Proven track record of meeting sales goals and achieving results
Knowledge of building materials and construction applications
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to build relationships and earn trust
Self-motivated, organized, competitive, and proactive
Comfortable working independently and managing a sales territory
Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Good technical aptitude and ability to learn new products quickly
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout MD & PA

Responsibilities

Maintain relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and construction companies to generate new business opportunities.
Identify new business opportunities, establish connections, and expand the assigned territory.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and site visits to support project design and specification.
Engage in customer visits, jobsite assessments, product demonstrations, and presentations.
Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals, collaborating with estimating and operations teams to finalize deals.
Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements for both the customer and the company.
Stay informed about products, competitors, construction trends, and industry developments.
Collaborate with logistics, operations, and customer service to ensure timely customer satisfaction.
Maintain CRM records, sales activities, forecasts, and customer information.
Represent York Building Products at trade shows, networking events, and industry gatherings.
