About The Position

This role involves quoting railroad products to customers, managing orders, and providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative will also interface with plant locations regarding various operational aspects and support outside sales managers. Adherence to established procedures from credit, logistics, and tax departments is also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, BS or BA in Marketing preferred
• Prior experience in business sales preferred
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
• Team player
• Ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time effectively
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Quote railroad products to customers IE: crossties, switch ties and bridge materials
• Order management and follow-up
• Provide customer service, including inquiries, order tracking, and feedback
• Interface with plant locations concerning inventory, production, freight rates and logistics
• Provide support for outside sales managers
• Follow procedures established by credit, logistics and tax departments
