About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of business development experience required, with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and experience in a distributor sales-type industry, preferably retail petroleum or C-store.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills; self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
  • Willingness to build product knowledge through company-provided training.
  • Local, overnight, and out-of-region travel may be required as needed.
  • Must be able to meet company employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR (if driving for the company).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted consultant to customers, identifying and recommending solutions using JF’s suite of parts and services.
  • Build, grow and manage a defined book of business as repeatable, ongoing customer relationships — driving consistent outreach, cold calling, and tele-sales to grow revenue through eCommerce and direct channels.
  • Build daily and weekly call and onsite meeting plans that balance new business development with account management, uncovering new revenue streams among existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop accurate quotes and proposals that meet customer requirements and use consultative selling and product knowledge to upsell and influence buying decisions across multiple product lines.
  • Partner with JF’s supplier base to stay current on pricing, product literature, and new developments.
  • Support project readiness for sold work: prepare material lists, participate in job turnover meetings with supervisors and project teams.
  • Monitor projects during installation and assist in preparing change orders when project scope changes.
  • Follow up with customers after project completion to confirm satisfaction and support invoice collection on completed work.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
  • Keep management informed through regular reports on sales activity, results, projects bid, and contracts signed.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of touchless and gesture technology, building personal and supply-chain networks to expand JF Petroleum's product offering.
  • Contribute to team success by supporting related tasks as needed, including vendor and manufacturer contact and building channel-partner relationships — living out The JF Way in every customer interaction.
