About The Position

Pearl Pools is seeking a Sales Associate to join their team in Charleston, SC. This role offers unlimited earning potential with no commission cap, and top performers can earn over $400,000 annually. The Sales Associate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing the sales process for residential and commercial pool construction, renovation, remodeling, and related services. This involves developing client relationships, identifying prospective customers, conducting site evaluations, preparing proposals, and coordinating project handoffs to operations. The role requires collaboration with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Pearl Pools, part of Amenity Construction Group and The Amenity Collective, is a leader in aquatic and specialty outdoor construction across the East Coast and select Southwest markets. Since 1984, they have a strong track record in renovating pools with tight scopes and durable finishes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably within the swimming pool, construction, remodeling, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and generating new business.
  • Proven ability to independently develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and repeat business.
  • Experience conducting on-site consultations, project evaluations, estimating, and negotiating contracts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple opportunities while maintaining attention to detail and customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory to visit with clients or sites.
  • This position requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and a proactive approach to sales and project coordination.
  • Must have a legal right to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified residential and commercial sales opportunities.
  • Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, industry relationships, community involvement, and self-generated lead development.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and sales opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site consultations to assess customer needs and project scope.
  • Perform field measurements, evaluations, and take-offs necessary to prepare project estimates.
  • Prepare accurate proposals and present project recommendations to prospective customers.
  • Negotiate project scope and pricing within established company guidelines.
  • Close sales and execute customer agreements.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective and existing customers throughout the sales process.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and responsiveness.
  • Guide customers through material selections and available project options.
  • Educate customers regarding construction timelines, project expectations, and company processes.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Promote customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Coordinate the transition of sold projects to Project Management and Operations.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project documentation is submitted following contract execution.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff regarding permitting documentation and project requirements.
  • Communicate customer expectations and project details to internal teams.
  • Assist with change orders and customer communications throughout the project lifecycle as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and customer information within company systems.
  • Track proposals, contracts, sales activity, and project status.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management.
  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to maximize lead generation opportunities.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in sales meetings, company meetings, and training programs.
  • Support Accounts Receivable regarding contract deposits and customer payment information when necessary.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Operations to ensure customer expectations are met.
