About The Position

The Sales Representative is directly responsible for selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. This role involves coordinating with the sales manager to meet sales quotas and profit margin goals, while ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. The representative must maintain current knowledge of products and features, follow a consistent sales process, and handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively. This position also requires performing pre-delivery inspections, road tests, and delivering vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand all operating features, warranty, and paperwork. The goal is to foster customer loyalty and repeat business through excellent service and product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Coordinating with the sales manager to set and meet new and used sales quotas.
  • Meeting the profit margin goals for vehicle sales.
  • Greeting customers promptly and maintaining a polite and friendly demeanor.
  • Consistently following the outlined sales process.
  • Utilizing floor time effectively to meet customer needs and solicit sales.
  • Determining each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
  • Demonstrating and test driving vehicles.
  • Verifying that customers are qualified for their wants, needs, and ability to buy.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and familiarity with new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Maintaining an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding the terminology of the automobile business and keeping abreast of technology changes in the product.
  • Performing pre-delivery inspection and road test before delivery to customer.
  • Delivering vehicles to customers after purchase, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Utilizing the delivery of any new or used vehicle to create an event that will facilitate customer loyalty to the dealership.
  • Understanding equity and values, and being able to explain depreciation to customers.
  • Conducting telephone transactions courteously and promptly.
  • Utilizing a consistent quotation process for purchases, trade-ins, and vehicle sales.
  • Moving and arranging display vehicles on showroom and on lot as directed by management.
  • Dealing with customer complaints in a sensible manner by showing empathy and a pleasant attitude.
  • Attending pertinent training and staying current with sales department concerns and sales techniques.
