About The Position

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence across IPEX product lines. This role focuses on achieving or exceeding sales targets within established pricing and distribution frameworks while fostering customer intimacy—building deep, trust‑based relationships that enable a strong understanding of customer needs and the delivery of tailored solutions. The incumbent combines strategic sales execution with technical expertise to support customers in selecting and applying IPEX products effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of sales experience in a related industry (distribution or contracting preferred).
  • Engineering background is an asset.
  • Experience in a similar industry is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of distribution networks and product applications across various sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint); CRM and ERP/SAP experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer intimacy through responsiveness and tailored service.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a results‑oriented mindset.
  • Solid understanding of IPEX product applications and customer segments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation and market analysis.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with distributors, leveraging insights into market dynamics and competitive activity.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and site visits to promote IPEX solutions and secure customer sales.
  • Build and nurture long‑term customer relationships by understanding business drivers, challenges, and goals.
  • Engage in consistent, meaningful communication to provide personalized product recommendations and technical support.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction post‑delivery and proactively address concerns to strengthen trust and loyalty.
  • Act as a strategic partner, offering insights and solutions aligned with evolving customer needs.
  • Serve as a technical resource, guiding customers on product selection, application, and installation across industries.
  • Deliver customized presentations and product demonstrations to educate stakeholders and support informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and end users to ensure optimal product performance and application.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, orders, and proposals with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence to support forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Liaise with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Technical Support to ensure seamless execution and communication.
  • Represent IPEX at trade shows, industry events, and promotional programs to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing field insights and participating in campaign execution.
