About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a Sales Representative Trainee. This role offers excellent benefits, competitive wages, and potential for growth opportunities. The sales territory covers Wilmington, Carolina Beach, New Hanover, and Pender counties. This position requires weekend work.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
State ABC license
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of Order processing systems

Responsibilities

Travel through designated territories daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
Quote prices and payment terms for orders obtained.
Confer with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
Identify and respond to customers' needs.
Assist with tracking reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
Assist in sales plans and maintain accounts according to company standards.
Assist in tracking progress of goals on a weekly basis.
Participate in supplier work-withs.
Continually maintain training and product knowledge.
Deliver emergency orders when needed.
Attend trade shows.
Conduct business according to local and state laws.
Assist with store re-sets.
Distribute point-of-sale materials for use in the market, and build displays.
Maintain shelf displays.
Perform other duties as assigned by the District Manager.
