About The Position

The Sales Representative (On Premise) is expected to effectively sell, service and merchandise all assigned accounts in a professional manner to maximize sales across entire footprint ultimately sharing the responsibility for rotation, positioning, delivery, distribution, and merchandising of all products the Company represents. Additionally, this role should establish a relationship with the retailer as a “partner/ consultant.”

Requirements

  • Education – high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience – one (1) to three (3) years previous sales experience
  • Licensing – valid Driver License

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively strive to maximize all sales opportunities of brands, packages, and available promotional allowances. Expected to achieve sales results (Sales Objectives, Volume Plan, Distribution Goals, and Monthly Business Objectives) that meet or exceed Company averages for all domestic, specialty and import suppliers.
  • Ensure product freshness at retail through KEG 1 Missouri Quality Program processes. All accounts must be thoroughly rotated a minimum of once per month. Close-dated product that will not move through the account must be removed from retail prior to going out of date. Out-of-date product must be removed from retail per Company protocols.
  • Identify close-dated product. Take action to coordinate movement of close-dated product to an account where it will sell through before the date expires.
  • Participate in and utilize KEG 1 Missouri Sales Training principles to maximize selling opportunities and act as a “partner/ consultant” to retailer. Maintain a planner with current pricing and promotional information. Additionally, sell sheets, monthly sales plan, alpha lists and other requisite information should be maintained with accurate data. Be an active participant in all segments of monthly sales, distribution and display initiatives, with the goal of achieving established objectives and growing business. Continuously search for new sales and distribution opportunities.
  • Establish and implement effective daily and weekly pre-plans that will ensure KEG 1 standards are met.
  • Develop working relationship with decision maker in all assigned accounts by instituting a defined sales call schedule. Use the Retail Account Management Process to identify account-specific opportunities, including but not limited to displays, permanent point of sale, merchandising, product placement and promotion.
  • Maintain distribution at required levels, set by supervisor, for all suppliers and assigned core sku’s. Participate in all monthly distribution initiatives.
  • Service all assigned accounts in a timely, thorough, and professional manner. Do not leave the account until all required tasks are completed to Company standard.
  • Keep all point-of-sale current in conjunction with each Supplier Marketing Plan in assigned accounts. Assigned accounts should be prioritized from highest volume down to Tel sell accounts.
  • Ensure product freshness at retail. Responsible for understanding and complying with all Quality Assurance guidelines and policies of KEG 1 and its suppliers.
  • Rotate product, hang permanent point of sale, and execute promotions at night and on weekends.
  • Set daily objective by account, relative to draft and package distribution, point of sale, features, etc. Strive to grow business by adding value to the products sold; be a “partner/consultant” not an “order taker.”
  • Follow established order transmission schedule to ensure efficient warehouse, delivery, sales, and retail functions. All tracking forms and paperwork must be accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Remain up to date through participation in assigned draft education.
  • Take proper care to maintain a clean, organized Company vehicle inside and out. This includes following all maintenance and service instructions and promptly reporting any problems/damage to the vehicle.
  • Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.
