About The Position

The Government Sales Account Specialist conducts sales calls to existing and potential customers to maintain/growth/and retain revenue. The position will coordinate with account executive on business needs and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the position or be willing to self-relocate.
  • Individual must be organized, detailed-oriented and have strong communication skills
  • Possesses ability to identify issues and provide solutions and is a problem solver

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree not required but preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Govt DoD portal along with Team
  • Accept shipments
  • Set up pick ups
  • Follow up on any and all shipment failures
  • Proactively contact customers to grow and retain business
  • TMSS-GSA Portal brought over to Government Team
  • All Team Members trained on this site
  • Proactively contact customers to grow and retain business
  • Proactively reach out to new customers that fall under the GSA Government Pricing
  • Run Govt Rates for Headstones, USDA, FDA, Unicor, GPO, and any Govt agency
  • Work with our Richmond Team on any and all billing, rating, and US Bank (Collections) issues to resolve quickly so we get paid
  • Work in the Govt Pulse Email and answer Govt 800# answering questions and solving problems
