About The Position

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Rep to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role involves selling commercial waste removal and disposal services, preparing proposals, calling on new and existing customers, and utilizing our Salesforce driven CRM tool, ARES. The Sales Rep will be the main point of contact for a current book of business of commercial accounts and will interact with customers, non-profit organizations, business associations, and at trade shows. A significant portion of the role (70%) will be spent in the designated territory prospecting, building relationships, and exploring market opportunities, while the remaining 30% will be in the office for team building, strategic planning, and account management.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selling commercial waste removal and disposal services.
• Preparing proposals, calling on new and existing customers, and utilizing /owning our Salesforce driven CRM tool, ARES.
• Being the main point of contact for a current book of business of commercial accounts.
• Interacting with customers, non-profit, business associations, and trade shows.
• Gathering contract expiration dates, documenting existing customer concerns, and working with other departments to satisfy customer requests for service.
• Prospecting, building relationships, and exploring market opportunities within the designated territory (70% of time).
• Team building, strategic planning, and account management in the office (30% of time).
