About The Position

This position is responsible for increasing Willamette Dental Group’s plan membership through insurance brokers/consultants, partner carriers and direct sales by professionally promoting Willamette Dental Group products, plans and treatment philosophy. The Sales Representative is responsible for retaining existing clients, producing new business that meets or exceeds annual sales goals as well as promoting organic growth within existing group accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field, with two to four years of health insurance sales experience required OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle in Oregon and possess an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have a State insurance license in good standing in Oregon, or must obtain the license within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Define and follow a strategy for accounts defined as local, regional or national, and maintain an active database for all potential Willamette Dental accounts in territory while planning for and staying within a predetermined budget.
  • Define and follow a strategy for all targeted brokers, brokerage firms, agents and administrators and maintain an active database in assigned territories of state, regional and national brokers and brokerage firms.
  • Consistently contact all defined brokers/agents and administrators in territory, and input broker/agent/administrator data, including appointments in customer relationship management (CRM) software. Document communication and calendared activities with brokers/agents and group clients in CRM.
  • Consistently visit all targeted brokers/brokerage firms/agents and administrators to review any changes/improvements at Willamette Dental, address and resolve any concerns/questions and constantly solicit business, and prepare reports, as needed documenting direct sales activities.
  • Strategize for effective renewals, deliver and present group client renewals by contracted due dates.
  • Demonstrate confidence in public speaking to small and large audiences in a professional manner, and present state approved CE presentations to clients as needed.
  • Prepare, print and personally deliver, when necessary, all requested reports to specified accounts on a timely basis.
  • Work with Member Services, Office Managers and Regional Managers to resolve any and all broker/agent/administrator concerns including coordinating the resolution of broker/agent/administrator concerns and insurance, scheduling, treatment and billing issues.
