About The Position

Geiger Pump & Equipment is seeking a versatile, hands-on Sales & Project Support Specialist for its York, Pennsylvania office. The role supports products from quotation and order entry through delivery, service, and start-up, combining customer-facing sales duties with project coordination, shop and warehouse support, and field service responsibilities. The specialist is expected to champion the company’s values of Continuous Improvement, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.

Requirements

Associate degree or better in a related field, three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Willingness and ability to obtain forklift certification.
Customer-service focus and ability to respond successfully to technical and non-technical customer and employee inquiries.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on shop and field work.
Ability to handle a varied, fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements.
Ability to work with various computer programs, including the company’s ERP software.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Prepare quotations and valve take-offs, and make specification-based selections.
Process customer orders accurately using vendor portals and the company ERP system (SAGE 300).
Assist with valve assembly, maintenance, staging, and equipment preparation.
Support shipping and receiving operations, warehouse organization, inventory, and facility maintenance.
Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensure regulatory compliance, and minimize workplace hazards.
Conduct site visits, service calls, and project start-ups.
Provide inside sales support to customers.
