About The Position

The Sales Production Coordinator will be responsible for planning the daily production schedule in collaboration with plant and sales management. This role involves providing guidance to the production team on tactical plans to meet customer needs, analyzing current customer base sales, and determining the best courses of action. The coordinator will work closely with plant management on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal service practices for customers. Key responsibilities include resolving problems related to customer issues, transportation, and logistics systems, as well as analyzing the financial impact of the current sales mix, making necessary modifications, and recommending changes to senior management. The position requires actively checking and verifying processes and order progress on the production floor, selling excess residual product as needed, and coordinating with R&D staff on samples and new product runs. The role involves working in both plant and office environments to verify production and adherence to specifications and plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent of experience in production planning and/or scheduling.
Strong management and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work within the team concepts.
Ability to understand complex customer/production issues, derive solutions, and communicate to all levels of management.
Must be able to solve basic math problems.
Competency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Nice To Haves

Database and accounting skills are a plus.
Some travel may be required. Less than 10%

Responsibilities

Plan daily production schedule with plant and sales management.
