About The Position

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking full-time Sales/Production Associates for our retail store in Clinton. Ideal candidates will be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. This role involves customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store.

Requirements

Energetic, flexible, and have excellent customer service skills.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods.
Use hands to handle.
Reach with hands and arms.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their donated items.
Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
