About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Sales Producer in Training to join its team in Miami, Florida. Under the direct supervision of the Sales Department Leader and the Profit Center Leader or an executive, the trainee will rotate through various departments to assist with activities and duties, gain technical knowledge, and learn the company's processes and procedures. The trainee will also receive training and educational opportunities. The program's objective is to prepare the trainee to move into a validated Producer role upon completion. Insurance producers find, develop, propose, and bind new business. The role involves prospecting, developing expertise in a declared sector or market area, following applicable systems and regulations, and using agency automation to support customer service and marketing activities.

Requirements

College degree.
Prior sales experience.
Has attained an insurance license or is working toward attaining one.

Nice To Haves

440 or 220 license.

Responsibilities

Find, develop, propose, and bind new business.
Follow company systems and procedures and insurance company regulations.
Obtain prospects and pursue them through telephone calls, letters, and occasional personal visits.
Identify business needs in prospect sectors or market areas and propose company products and services.
Develop expertise in the declared sector or market area through networking and professional development activities.
Attend an insurance company meeting for public relations purposes.
Understand and maximize the use of agency automation for customer service and marketing activities.
Assist in various departments to gain technical knowledge and learn company processes and procedures.
