About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring for Sales Positions in Beauty, Women's Apparel, Men's Apparel, and Stock Team. Join us for a Hiring Event on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Nordstrom Palo Alto store (550 Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, Ca. 94304). No appointment is necessary; simply attend the event during the specified hours for an interview. On-the-spot job offers will be made for most roles. If you cannot attend the event, your application will still be considered.

Requirements

Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift.
Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items.
Ability to reach for and lift items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Sales roles may have commission structures varying by merchandise sold (Apparel, shoes, accessories: 3% to 14.5%; Beauty and Men's Fragrance: 3%).

Responsibilities

Handle merchandise and assist customers.
