About The Position

Atlanta Toyota, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is hiring Valets, also called Porters or Lot Attendants, to support dealership operations. The role involves moving vehicles as needed and keeping the showroom and display lots neat and orderly. It offers an opportunity to gain experience and learn how an automotive dealership operates in state-of-the-art facilities.

The position works standard business hours, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. The work takes place in a covered area and outdoors at times, where employees may encounter heat, cold, hazards, and noise. The position involves physical activity and handling objects of varying weights.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license. Employees under age 18 may not drive vehicles off dealership premises. The hiring process typically includes a phone interview, several in-person interviews, background and reference checks, a driving record review, and a drug screen.

Requirements

• Able to safely drive vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of instructions, routines, and accepted practices.
• Ability to interact well with others and work effectively in a team and with a diverse group of people.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, sitting, crawling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and grasping; talking and hearing; and moving objects.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, or 10 pounds constantly.
