About The Position

The Sales Porter-New/Used is responsible for duties related to vehicle sales and upkeep of dealership property. The role includes maintaining the vehicle lot and showroom, moving vehicles as directed, transporting customers and dealership personnel when needed, and supporting vehicle deliveries. The position also involves vehicle transfers, basic property maintenance, and weather-related cleanup as necessary. Other functions and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, and move vehicles as directed by sales managers in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot.
• Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other functions and special projects as assigned.
