About The Position

This role focuses on client engagement, managing the sales cycle, and building strong client relationships. The Sales Paralegal will be responsible for understanding client needs, recommending products/services, conducting presentations, and managing the sales process from lead to closure. This includes following up on leads, negotiating terms, and closing contracts. A key aspect of the role is cultivating strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals. The position requires maintaining accurate sales records in CRM software and effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role also involves schedule flexibility, potentially including occasional evenings, weekends, or travel to accommodate client needs or attend events. It is important to note that this is a Non-Attorney Role, and the individual hired will not provide legal advice or representation. Strict adherence to limitations and escalation to licensed attorneys when appropriate is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Proven sales track record is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales support is needed.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • Computer: Intel i5 (8th Gen+) or AMD Ryzen 5 (3000+), or Mac M1+.
  • Min. 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.
  • OS: Windows 11 or macOS.
  • Monitors: Two screens required.
  • Headset: USB wired or wireless.
  • Internet: Wired connection, at least 20 Mbps.
  • Maintain an average monthly QA score of 85% or higher on evaluated inbound/outbound calls, measured via CRM scorecards to ensure script adherence, professional communication, and strict compliance with non-attorney/UPL boundaries.
  • Convert at least 40% of all qualified, assigned leads into booked attorney consultations each month, measured in the CRM to drive sales pipeline performance and target goals.
  • Maintain a monthly DNQ rate of 12% or lower, tracked through CRM disposition logging to ensure accurate lead screening, prevent premature lead rejections, and enforce proper attorney escalations.
  • The team member is regularly required to stand, walk, and use their hands to perform tasks.
  • Some lifting of files (up to 10 pounds) may be necessary.
  • Must strictly adhere to the limitations of a non-attorney role and escalate matters to a licensed attorney when appropriate.
  • Must acknowledge in writing that they understand and agree to comply with the restrictions of a non-attorney role as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding clients' needs, building rapport, recommending appropriate products or services, and conducting presentations.
  • Managing the sales cycle from lead receipt to closure, including following up on leads, negotiating terms, and closing contracts.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with clients that ensures strong support, satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and manage multiple client interactions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Adapting to a dynamic work schedule that may include occasional evenings, weekends, or travel to accommodate client needs or attend events.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships to ensure future sales.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support.
  • Communicate factual case status updates as directed by an attorney.
  • Collect documents and information from clients.
  • Assist in drafting forms and documents under attorney supervision.
  • Relay attorney-approved information to clients.
  • Schedule appointments and manage case files.
  • Provide government filing instructions that are procedural in nature (e.g., where to mail documents, required supporting documents as directed by an attorney).
  • Immediately escalate matters to a licensed attorney if a client asks any legal question, asks whether they “qualify” or “should apply,” asks about risks, timelines with legal implications, or likelihood of success, or if the case involves criminal history, prior removal, unlawful presence, fraud/misrepresentation, prior denials, or complex facts.
  • Immediately escalate matters to a licensed attorney if a client requests interpretation of a Request for Evidence (RFE), Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID), or other government notice, or expresses confusion about legal advice previously given.
  • Immediately escalate matters to a licensed attorney in any situation where the staff member is unsure whether the response would constitute legal advice.
