About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms). This position is responsible for customer service and sales of floor Hunting/Archery Merchandise, performing various selling and customer service activities. This includes greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. The role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience. This involves identifying and evaluating customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup. The Sales Outfitter must be able to demonstrate product to customers, organize and maintain merchandise at the non-firearms counter, replenish product on shelves according to merchandising guidelines, and remain a product expert through ongoing training. They must also be knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintain pricing and signing, assist with seasonal merchandise moves, and keep their work area clean and well-stocked. The position follows all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Retail.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Customer Service and Sales of Hunting/Archery Merchandise (NON-FIREARMS).
  • GCA Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • Provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms).
  • Identifies and evaluates customers’ needs.
  • Makes product recommendations based off of customer needs analysis.
  • Promotes programs including, but not limited to CLUB membership, VOC and IN Store Pick up.
  • Demonstrates product to customers.
  • Organizes and maintains Merchandise within the retail Store for Sales at Gun Counter non-Firearms.
  • Replenishes product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
  • Remains product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training.
  • Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signing.
  • Assists with Seasonal Floor merchandise moves.
  • Keeps work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
