About The Position

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation (RFC) is seeking a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager to establish and lead their enterprise S&OP process. This role connects commercial, operations, supply chain, and finance to align customer demand, operational capability, inventory strategy, working capital objectives, and financial performance. The manager will strengthen forecast discipline, lead scenario planning, and assist executive leaders in making timely, fact-based decisions to support customer service, profitable growth, and effective use of working capital.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in S&OP, integrated business planning, demand planning, supply chain planning, operations, finance, or a related manufacturing function.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or materially improving a cross-functional S&OP or IBP process in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory management, production planning, and the financial implications of operating decisions.
  • Experience facilitating executive-level planning reviews, presenting scenarios and recommendations, and driving decisions across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Experience developing metrics such as forecast accuracy and bias, plan attainment, service level, inventory turns, days inventory outstanding, and capacity utilization.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems and advanced analytical tools; metals, automotive, aerospace, engineered products, or industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Prior people leadership, project leadership, or process ownership experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced analytical capability in demand forecasting, scenario modeling, capacity planning, inventory strategy, and financial reconciliation.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how customer demand, operations, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and profitability interact.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP and planning systems; Global Shop Solutions and/or SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including executive dashboards and decision-support materials.
  • Ability to establish governance, standard work, decision rights, performance metrics, and accountability routines across multiple locations.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to facilitate fact-based decisions among Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, influence without authority, resolve competing priorities, and maintain an enterprise-wide perspective.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Demonstrated judgment, integrity, curiosity, and willingness to escalate material risks and trade-offs early.
  • Ability to work onsite in Shelbyville, Kentucky, or Jeffersonville, Indiana, with occasional flexibility to work from home.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel between locations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM certification, such as CSCP or CPIM, is preferred.
  • Formal training or certification in S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, Lean, or continuous improvement is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate RFC's monthly S&OP process, including demand review, supply and capacity review, financial reconciliation, pre-S&OP alignment, and executive decision review.
  • Establish and maintain one fact-based demand, supply, inventory, and financial plan across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Lead demand planning and forecast governance across business units, challenge assumptions, measure forecast accuracy and bias, and incorporate market intelligence, customer commitments, and commercial opportunities.
  • Partner with Operations to assess labor, equipment, tooling, and production constraints and identify future capacity gaps, bottlenecks, and mitigation options.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to translate the approved plan into material, purchasing, inventory, scheduling, and logistics actions.
  • Develop scenarios and recommendations that show the revenue, margin, service, inventory, working capital, and capacity implications of alternative decisions.
  • Lead inventory strategy and target setting with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, including actions for excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Prepare concise executive S&OP materials that clearly identify risks, opportunities, required decisions, owners, and due dates.
  • Escalate unresolved demand, supply, capacity, customer, and financial trade-offs for timely executive decisions.
  • Establish governance, planning calendars, decision rights, standard work, data definitions, and accountability routines.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for forecast accuracy and bias, revenue and production plan attainment, service level, inventory turns, days inventory outstanding, capacity utilization, and action closure.
  • Align S&OP with budgeting, strategic planning, new program launches, capital planning, and working capital improvement efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning discipline, data quality, systems, analytics, and cross-functional execution.
  • Influence and align stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority while maintaining an objective, enterprise-wide perspective.
