About The Position

This is a 3-month internship with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. Kevin’s Natural Foods is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Operations Intern to join our growing Sales team. This role will support key sales operations, reporting, data management, and process improvement initiatives that help drive business performance across our customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, eager to learn, and excited to work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and other teams to improve processes, maintain data accuracy, and support business growth. You'll gain exposure to Sales Planning, Trade Promotion Management (TPM), SAP, reporting and analytics, customer setup, and commercial operations while helping build the foundation that enables our Sales team to succeed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or current enrollment in a Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of professional, internship, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, lookups, and basic formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, TPM systems, retailer portals, or CRM platforms is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Planning transformation initiatives by assisting with process improvements, system enhancements, and documentation updates.
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing administration of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems and processes.
  • Support customer setup requests and onboarding activities.
  • Review recurring reports for missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information.
  • Identify reporting gaps and coordinate corrections with internal stakeholders.
  • Validate report outputs prior to distribution.
  • Support new item setup processes across customer accounts.
  • Coordinate customer forms, retailer portal requests, and documentation requirements.
  • Track retailer scorecard availability and distribute results to the appropriate teams.
  • Assist with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) data cleanup and maintenance.
  • Validate promotional calendars against customer submissions and internal plans.
  • Support the Sales team with trade accrual reviews and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain customer hierarchies, broker assignments, and master data within SAP and related systems.
  • Validate pricing uploads and assist with pricing audits.
  • Audit customer, item, and pricing records to ensure data accuracy.
  • Create training guides, process documentation, and onboarding materials for Sales team members.
  • Coordinate smaller cross-functional projects and follow up on action items to ensure completion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and business processes.
  • Support special projects and business initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.
