About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906, is a successful bakery in the Pacific Northwest producing a variety of baked products under premium labels. With over 4,000 employees and distribution across multiple states, Franz offers a dynamic work environment. We are seeking a part-time Sales Merchandiser based in Spokane, Washington, to ensure our customers have the best products on their shelves. The ideal candidate is reliable, safe, organized, and possesses strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Part-time position requiring availability between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m., weekdays and weekends.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar merchandising position.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, math test, physical, and physical capacity test.
• Clean driving record and provision of a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large, bulky racks of product.
• Must be highly organized, fast-paced, and able to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization.
• Proven work history of being reliable, safe, and positive.
• Must uphold the Franz core values.
• This is a union position with Teamsters Local 690.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the bread/bakery/food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining bakery products in assigned stores, including stocking shelves, rotating outdated products, and facing products for consumer appeal.
• Ensuring a neat and orderly appearance of all assigned bakery products.
• Driving a company or personal vehicle to deliver product to customer locations.
• Loading and unloading product in a company-issued vehicle, which includes pushing/pulling racks and trays of bakery products.
• Performing additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
