About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906, is a successful bakery employing over 4,000 people and distributing products across several western states. We are seeking a Sales Merchandiser to join our fast-paced team in Spokane Valley. This role is crucial for ensuring our customers have the best products available on their shelves. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and highly organized, with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Full-time availability, including weekdays and weekends, between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• A solid work history.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar merchandising position.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, math test, physical, and physical capacity test.
• A clean driving record and provision of a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large, bulky racks of product.
• High organization, fast-paced work ethic, and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals.
• Proven work history of being reliable, safe, and positive.
• Upholding Franz core values.
• Membership in Teamsters Local 690 (union position).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the bread/bakery/food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining bakery products in assigned stores, including stocking shelves and rotating outdated products.
• Ensuring product freshness and presenting bakery items in a pleasing manner.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly appearance of all assigned bakery products.
• Driving a company vehicle to deliver product to customer locations.
• Loading and unloading product in the company-issued vehicle, including pushing/pulling racks and trays of bakery products.
• Performing additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
