About The Position

Part-Time Seasonal Merchandiser – Field Sales Team We’re looking for Part-Time Seasonal Merchandisers to join our dynamic Field Sales team. In this role, you will support our presence in major retailers, including Home Depot and Rona, by executing merchandising standards and building strong partnerships with store staff and customers. You’ll also help identify inventory opportunities and communicate key insights to the Scotts Sales team. This is a seasonal contract beginning 5/18/2026 and ending 9/25/2026 offering flexible weekday shifts. Weekend availability is required, particularly on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. between mid-April and the end of June.

Requirements

  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8–12-foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs (occasionally) and be exposed to weather conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driver’s abstract.
  • This position is subject to a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently.
  • Reliable access to a vehicle during work hours.
  • Access to a computer, printer, and smartphone.
  • Steel-toe CSA Green Triangle boots or shoes are required

Nice To Haves

  • For positions based in Quebec, French is mandatory, and bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Engage shoppers by explaining the features and benefits of Scotts products, helping them make confident purchase decisions and increasing overall sales.
  • Provide our retail partners product knowledge for all Scotts products and bring our brands to life through engaging in-store workshops and events.
  • Restock shelves, and displays while ensuring products are clean, faced, priced correctly, and merchandised to drive visibility and conversion.
  • Collaborate closely with the Scotts Sales Manager to execute sales strategies, solution selling opportunities, and achieve store-level sales goals.
  • Assemble fixtures and in-store displays designed to capture customer attention, promote key items, and stimulate impulse purchases.
  • Set up and maintain signage and promotional materials that highlight value, new products, and seasonal deals to boost buyer engagement.
