About The Position

The Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing the operational aspect of the Sales Department, as well as assisting in the store’s marketing efforts, which could include promotions, customer events, Getaways and boat shows. The Sales and Marketing Specialist will provide excellent customer service to all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the operational aspect of the Sales Department.
  • Assisting in the store’s marketing efforts, including promotions, customer events, Getaways, and boat shows.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Assisting the sales team with sales events and promotions and prospecting to increase sales.
  • Inviting customers to sales dock and providing sales information, brochures, and publications.
  • Conferring with customers regarding sales, events, or promotions.
  • Actively engaging in Internet leads and business networking.
  • Actively participating in boat shows and other off-site promotions.
  • Maintaining appropriate online listings for all inventory onsite.
  • Projecting a professional and knowledgeable image to all customers.
  • Assisting with knowledge and training on new sales initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public.
  • Assisting with the daily maintenance and organization of inventory onsite.
  • Demonstrating basic Seamanship skills to assist customers at marina.
  • Performing administrative duties to support the sales team.
  • Assisting with local advertising and branding efforts.
  • Maintaining strong vendor relationships with various marketing partners.
  • Keeping current on best practices and emerging technologies and trends within the industry.
  • Driving social media communications for the store.
  • Maintaining and updating the local store Facebook Page.
  • Planning, developing, and scheduling content, creating response-generating contests and campaigns, interacting and engaging with customers, and responding to questions.
  • Arranging for transportation, accommodations, activity equipment, and services personnel during customer events.
  • Providing customers with event-related brochures and publications.
  • Coordinating boat video walk-throughs with the General Manager.
  • Implementing/Displaying all Current OEM & MarineMax POP.
  • Serving as Liaison to Charitable and Community Events.
  • Serving as Local Chamber of Commerce/CVB Liaison.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
