About The Position

The Sales Marketing Social Specialist is part of a dynamic team of media professionals responsible for developing innovative marketing opportunities for NBC New York. This role partners closely with the NBCU Local Ad Sales and Sales Production teams to create compelling branded content, sponsorships, and integrated campaigns for a wide range of clients across multiple social and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of social trends, branded content, and audience engagement—someone who can bring ideas to life while connecting creative execution to measurable business impact.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in social content production, marketing, media, or sales support; experience across broadcast, digital, social, and out-of-home media is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of current social media trends, platform best practices, and audience engagement tactics
  • Proficiency with creative and social tools including Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Meta Business Suite, and related platforms
  • Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen creative eye and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be able to work in New York City area.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and outreach strategies preferred
  • Spanish literate is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute high-impact, social-first campaigns that elevate linear and digital advertising initiatives while aligning with client objectives and brand goals
  • Bring a strong creative point of view, visual aesthetic, and platform-native approach to content development and execution
  • Produce content in collaboration with integrated production, sales, and digital teams both in-studio and in the field
  • Translate ideas into polished, platform-native content across Meta, TikTok, X, YouTube and emerging platforms, ensuring consistency in look, feel, and brand alignment
  • Manage the full lifecycle of integrated social sales content—from ideation and production through publishing, optimization, and reporting
  • Partner with digital, social, and sales stakeholders to develop amplification strategies that maximize audience reach and engagement
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and production teams to ensure seamless execution across campaigns, shoots, and sponsorship initiatives
  • Support sales proposals, client presentations, and post-campaign recaps with strategic creative thinking, performance insights, and actionable recommendations
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, connecting creative execution to engagement, client KPIs, and revenue objectives
