About The Position

The Sales & Marketing Leader is a strategic, results-driven professional responsible for leading the Residential Group’s sales and marketing functions. This role combines expertise in driving revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and delivering exceptional client experiences while playing a critical role in shaping future communities and new market expansion. As a member of the Residential Group Leadership Team, this position reports directly to the President and partners closely with peer leaders across Land Development, Construction & Operations, Finance, and People & Culture to ensure cohesive strategy and execution across the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of residential construction, and a proven ability to translate business objectives into effective sales and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with 10+ years in leadership roles overseeing revenue growth, brand strategy, and go-to-market execution, preferably in residential construction.
  • Proven experience leading integrated sales and marketing functions, including sales strategy, pricing, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance accountability.
  • Hands-on expertise in digital marketing and demand generation, including website performance, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and lead conversion optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, BuilderTrend), including reporting, analytics, segmentation, and forecasting.
  • Strong executive communication skills for effectively influencing stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a client-centric, end-to-end Blue Ribbon service experience from inquiry through post-sale support.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality interactions that reinforce trust, satisfaction, and brand value across all segments.
  • Partner with development, design, construction and operations to deliver a seamless and differentiated experience.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador, maintaining a polished appearance and demeanor in all client and community interactions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans across all residential product types, aligned with growth objectives.
  • Establish, monitor, and adjust sales targets, forecasts, and pipeline health to ensure predictable revenue performance.
  • Analyze market trends, buyer behavior, and competitive dynamics to refine strategies and pricing.
  • Lead marketing strategies that leverage uniques, maximize product offerings, and differentiate individual communities while reinforcing overall brand.
  • Ensure each community is positioned with a compelling value proposition aligned with brand standards.
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives for new developments, existing product lines, and community-level campaigns.
  • Own and elevate the group’s brand to support increased specialization, deeper market penetration, and regional growth.
  • Ensure brand consistency, quality, and differentiation across all channels, materials, and client touchpoints.
  • Leverage brand strength to enhance visibility, demand, and long-term market positioning.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Development, collaborating early on new projects and future communities.
  • Provide market insights, buyer research, sales strategy, and branding input through planning, design, and launch.
  • Ensure sales, marketing, and brand considerations are fully integrated into development decisions.
  • Maintain a predictive 12-18 month pipeline of showcase homes aligned with market demand and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and operations teams to align inventory strategy with market dynamics and design trends to deliver homes that reflect evolving buyer preferences.
  • Monitor absorption, turnover, and inventory risk to support consistent sales performance.
  • Lead digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media campaigns with website content and performance management to maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Own CRM strategy and performance (e.g., BuilderTrend, Salesforce, Hubspot) across lead management, segmentation, and reporting.
  • Leverage CRM analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, client engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Own the accuracy and consistency of all sales and client-facing documentation, including contracts, homeowners manuals, and related materials.
  • Ensure strong product knowledge and content readiness across teams while maintaining up-to-date product offerings and customization options.
  • Represent the brand through events, open houses, Parade of Homes, and key industry and community partnerships.
  • Oversee the home specifications process, aligned with client expectations and construction capabilities.
