About The Position

Iris Memory Care of Rowlett is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Director to lead occupancy growth efforts and assist families in finding compassionate memory care for their loved ones. This role involves building trust with families during difficult decisions and requires a proven track record in sales within the senior living, home health, or hospice sectors. The position offers competitive pay, full-time employment, and bonus potential tied to occupancy goals.

Requirements

  • Hands-on sales experience within senior living, memory care, home health, or hospice.
  • Prior sales experience in assisted living, memory care, senior living, home health, or hospice is REQUIRED.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of overall sales experience with a documented history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Comfortable with PC-based software for sales tracking, email, and basic word processing/presentation tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with residents, families, and referral sources.
  • A warm, professional, and empathetic approach to working with families during emotional decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and follow up on a large pipeline of leads.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and pass a TB skin test annually.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine commitment to the Iris mission.

  • Strong preference for candidates with a proven track record specifically selling assisted living or memory care services.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective residents and their families in their homes, at Iris, or other convenient locations to present our community and services.
  • Drive sales activity and results to achieve and exceed move-in and occupancy goals.
  • Conduct ongoing marketing outreach into the local Rowlett community and build relationships with referral sources.
  • Develop and refine quarterly marketing and sales plans, tactics, and timelines.
  • Plan and host special events and activities to generate new leads.
  • Pre-qualify and assess prospective residents in partnership with the Executive Director and Wellness Director.
  • Guide families through decision-making with honesty, empathy, and a clear understanding of their needs.
  • Close sales, secure reservations, and finalize residency contracts.
  • Ensure a smooth, supported transition for new residents from move-in through orientation.
  • Ask current residents and families for referrals to friends and family who may benefit from our services.
  • Track and manage a high volume of leads accurately in our CRM/software system.
