About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the asphalt pricing system, which includes pricing for over 175 different asphalt product codes for more than 150 customers. The position also involves managing customer billing accurately and on time, maintaining and updating billing data, and preparing forms for billing corrections. The analyst will work with Territory Managers and Sales Directors to resolve customer issues related to invoicing and pricing, and perform customer/carrier setup in loading systems, ensuring compliance with HRC policies. Additionally, the role includes maintaining database invoicing for rail and barge sales, distributing payment due dates, organizing accounting documents, maintaining Excel reports and pivot tables, providing tonnage reports, and supporting the Asphalt Logistics Supervisor. The analyst will also communicate price changes, coordinate bid activities, distribute Cert A, execute monthly index quotes, and assist with auditor documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting or Finance required.
Computer literate and accomplished in Microsoft products, preferably Excel and Word.
Effective communicator in both oral and written correspondence.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced independent team environment.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Manage asphalt pricing system for over 175 asphalt product codes and 150 customers.
Manage customer billing accurately and within requested time, ensuring system data is consistently maintained and updated.
Manage, analyze, and prepare forms for billing corrections, and recommend improvements in billing/rebilling.
Work with Territory Managers and Sales Directors to resolve customer issues related to invoicing and pricing.
Perform and maintain customer/carrier setup in loading systems, updating insurance, and maintaining projects and products to ensure compliance with HRC policies.
Maintain database invoicing for rail and barge sales for HRC.
Distribute and notify customers of payment due dates and communicate with the Treasury Department for timely payments.
Organize and file asphalt accounting documents.
Maintain various necessary Excel reports and pivot tables.
Provide tonnage reports as needed for the Asphalt Institute.
Provide support to the Asphalt Logistics Supervisor by understanding terminal footprint and capabilities.
Responsible for special projects and other related duties.
Communicate price changes to the sales team for distribution to outside customers.
Coordinate bid activities ensuring HRC is compatible with bid solicitation and contract administration.
Distribute Cert A to Mississippi District Testing Engineers monthly.
Execute and submit monthly index quotes for various states, performing collection/import of pricing related to individual indexes.
Assist in gathering and preparing requested documentation for internal and/or external auditors.
