Primary Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico Sales Manager ALC: Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Maximize sale of all products by implementing established sales and marketing programs to achieve or exceed company objectives. Responsible for effective sales efforts for assigned area through supervision, training and evaluating personnel. Conducts sales reviews with key customers. Ensures quality of product, service, and customer rapport through supervision of personnel and personal auditing in the trade to increase market distribution and sales. Ensures effective communication by interfacing with assigned personnel and coworkers to keep updated on competitive activity and market execution. Ensures proper care and use of company equipment through weekly inspection of company equipment to reduce repair costs. Directs the operation of assigned sales department personnel and spending within established budgets through effective communication and supervision to meet the company’s financial plan. Directs the quality assurance of product through training, guidance, and monitoring of company quality standards and maintaining accurate audit records. Confers with warehouse manager and department heads, when appropriate, to ensure coordination with activities of other functions such as production, ordering, sales, records control, and purchasing. Ensures maximum product exposure throughout the marketing area with highly visible merchandising, POS, and displays through direction and guidance of assigned management personnel to increase market share and profitability. Oversees and directs operations and management staff in the absence of the General Manager. Present professional image to customer and marketplace by wearing appropriate business attire and grooming. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must meet company driver qualifications.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and ability to apply concepts of algebra.
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Able to perform data entry on computer system by responding to screen prompts using Ten-Key and keyboard data entry procedures.
