About The Position

The Sales Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales growth, developing and implementing strategic sales plans, and managing key accounts. This position requires superior analytical and negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, business acumen, market understanding, problem solving skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships with new and existing clients. The incumbent develops and executes processes that constantly improve Moran’s commitments to our internal and external customers. This role reports to the Vice President, Innovation & Strategy, DCBU (Dive Construction Business Unit).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent training in Business or Sales Management.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Development and/or Sales in related positions.
  • Experience in Industrial (Diving, Marine, or Construction) and focused service-related businesses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport, and ability and willingness to travel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Superior business acumen, excellent negotiation skills, proactive analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to implement new solutions and continuous improvement programs.
  • Be a self-starter and work well independently and as a productive team member.
  • Use excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects with a solution-oriented approach and without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster positive learning and growth mindset culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM.
  • Federal contract experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of marine services, construction, and the maritime industry, preferably in Sales.
  • Experience with Power BI, Excel, or other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, develop, new business opportunities, offering strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers, prospects, and industry leaders and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with customers to deliver customized presentations and company updates, reinforcing client engagement and partnership.
  • Negotiate contract renewals, prepare proposals, and provide timely follow-up on all customer inquiries.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and agents regarding contract renewals, proposals, and bids.
  • Analyze sales and pricing data to develop and propose strategies aimed at revenue optimization.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed sales forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify market trends, customer behavior, and sales opportunities, ensuring strategies are aligned with these insights for optimized sales performance.
  • Proactively identify risks, deviations, and opportunities to maximize sales performance.
  • Collaborate with operations to understand customer needs as well as competitive analysis.
  • Maintain commercial data on inquiries, contracts, visit reports, and competitive information, and ensure customer information is entered into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.
  • Generate and provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and business development opportunities.
  • Align initiatives with short and long-term sales business plans and objectives and adjust initiatives when required to ensure continued alignment.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and achieve broader Company goals by supplying expertise and guidance on sales projects and systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in sales management.
