About The Position

This is a leadership role focused on building, leading, and scaling a new team of Associate Account Executives. The team will focus on small and mid-market Canadian communities, connecting local businesses with Postmedia's digital marketing solutions. The Sales Manager will act as a 'head coach' to develop sales talent into digital consultants passionate about local economies. The role offers 100% remote autonomy and leverages advanced AI software for coaching insights.

Requirements

• Experience managing or leading B2B sales professionals.
• Demonstrable history of driving net-new customer acquisition.
• Embrace AI, CRM architecture (HubSpot), and sales intelligence tools.
• Strong grasp of the digital media landscape.
• Ability to comfortably jump into virtual proposals to help close complex deals.
• Passion for local businesses and helping them compete.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach a new team of Associate AEs using AI-driven call insights and pipeline metrics.
• Sharpen pitching, prospecting, and closing skills of the sales team.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for small to mid-market communities to drive net-new local revenue.
• Translate complex digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, Programmatic, Social, Display, Websites, Listings, Classifieds) into simple growth solutions for local businesses.
• Foster a high-energy, accountable, and collaborative culture focused on keeping local advertising dollars within Canadian communities.
• Recruit and onboard new sales talent, running a structured training process to ensure they meet quotas quickly.
