The Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, within IDT, is a global leader in producing standard and custom passive RFID tags and labels for industry & logistics, healthcare, animal identification and fueling automation markets, with manufacturing sites in Malaysia, China and the United States. As our Sales Manager ISC, you’ll support HID’s success by acquiring new customers and developing existing customer base in the North America region, with a strong focus on consumable equipment markets and industrial verticals. You will recognize and understand customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educate customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges. You will drive the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. You will collaborate with product management and engineering specialists as required. You will work with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business. You will attend and participate in tradeshows, exhibitions, as well as partner events. You will hunt for new customers and grow revenue and nurture relationships with existing customers. You will complete forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines, build a project pipeline to secure the ISC long-term business growth, and act as an industry expert in future market trends, coordinating with product management on potential new products to meet these trends.

Requirements

  • Technical training or previous education, or a high affinity for technical products.
  • Several years of sales experience and confidence speaking to all levels of customers (Engineering, Procurement and C-Suite).
  • Passion for sales topics and for selling components.
  • Experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach.
  • Communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective and timely follow-up to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Develop presentations and write content as an industry subject matter expert.
  • Present information to boards of directors, technical managers and/or public groups.
  • Interact in a professional manner with the Sales team, Business Development Team, Product Marketing, and other departments within HID.
  • Read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to reside and work in the hiring country.

Nice To Haves

  • An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on the RFID tags and labels would be helpful but not necessary.
  • Cold calling and remote selling are no strangers to you and you deal confidently with resistance.
  • Experience with SalesForce (or other CRM platform) and Concur is a plus but is not required.
