About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit new and repeat business, with the ultimate goal of achieving or exceeding revenue targets. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities including the full employee lifecycle from interviewing and selecting to training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates, ensuring their performance aligns with established brand standards and HHM's core values. A key focus is on maximizing revenue through comprehensive sales efforts across all aspects of the hotel to various client segments. The manager will employ professional sales techniques to negotiate optimal terms and conditions for both internal and external customer requirements. Account management includes diligent documentation of solicitation and closing activities, as well as coordinating with other hotel departments to service accounts effectively. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts is crucial for enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing account revenue. The position also requires developing and delivering persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients, articulating the hotel's benefits to close sales opportunities. Moderate local travel is necessary for conducting outside sales calls, promoting the hotel, reviewing competitor activities, and representing the hotel at trade shows. Adherence to HHM’s EarthView program sustainability guidelines is also expected, along with performing other management-requested duties.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements.
  • Manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
