This is a store that has earned its reputation and defends it every year. The Sales Manager who joins this team steps into that standard and is expected to uphold it on the floor every day.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of automotive sales management experience in a franchised dealership -- Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of developing sales consultants and driving consistent team performance at a high-volume store
  • Confident at the desk -- able to work deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest-first approach the Mercedes-Benz brand demands
  • A coach first -- you develop your team's capabilities and hold them accountable with consistency and genuine investment in their growth
  • Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow-up, process compliance, and accountability on the floor
  • Clear, direct communicator who earns the trust of the sales team and the respect of the guest
  • A hospitality mindset -- you understand that how we sell is every bit as important as how much we sell

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop a high-performing sales team daily -- running structured one-on-ones, floor observations, and deal debriefs that sharpen skills and drive consistent production
  • Desk deals with precision and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the business, under the direction of the GSM
  • Manage the sales floor with urgency and presence -- ensuring every guest interaction reflects the Mercedes-Benz brand standard and Swickard's hospitality-first culture
  • Monitor individual and team performance against key metrics -- units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, and CRM compliance
  • Partner with the finance department to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience through delivery
  • Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM -- monitoring lot activity, turn, and aging to maximize opportunity
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants -- contributing to a team culture of accountability, growth, and hospitality
  • Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and professionalism -- protecting the guest relationship and the store's reputation
