Responsibilities

  • Implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Monitors customer and market analyses to determine customer preference.
  • Establishes recommended unit sales and dollar gross profit objectives for the daily operating control.
  • Assists sales representatives with maintaining customer relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Maintains standards for delivery of vehicles to customers.
  • Assists with the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Manages vehicle inventories in a time sensitive fashion.
  • Attends auction as necessary.
  • Enforces a three day turn policy.
  • Establishes standards for appraising all vehicles.
  • Establishes and controls wholesaling.
  • Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.
  • Directly supervises 2-25 employees in the Sales Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; apprising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
