About The Position

Raines Co. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and build their sales team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, strategic planning, and possess a competitive spirit to drive market success. This role involves defining success, providing direction, and training the sales team to exceed departmental goals. Raines Co., established in 1988, is a family-owned business that has grown into a fully integrated development, management, and investment company. They develop, operate, and own leading hotel brands and boutique hotels, maintaining a family-oriented culture focused on building relationships with associates, partners, and communities.

Requirements

  • Two years prior hotel sales, catering manager, or progressive experience in a hotel environment.
  • Experience with Delphi FDC and proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with brand's PMS and sales related applications.
  • Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, and solicitation for various or specific market segments.
  • Provide sales support for two hotels in the Downtown Florence market: Hyatt Place Florence Downtown and Hotel Florence, a Tapestry Hotel by Hilton.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted RevPAR goals.
  • Accurately forecast revenues for the following month.
  • Analyze short-term fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues.
  • Prepare sales and/or marketing plan for the following year.
  • Ensure front desk agents are familiar with all sales programs and key accounts.
  • Produce sales department reports in a timely manner.
  • Identify which market segments produce effective business for the property and how to balance them to maximize revenues.
  • Perform displacement analysis for groups or accounts as needed.
  • Understand SWOT of property and competitive set.
  • Read and interpret STR results weekly and monthly.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and work to secure business from them.
  • Use company-wide tools, systems and applications without exception.
  • Demonstrate commitment to superior guest service through personal response to guest needs.
  • Conduct site visits, coordinating with all departments for show rooms.
