About The Position

Zelisko GmbH is a subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse GmbH specialized in energy, traffic engineering, and ticket printers. We are looking for a Sales Manager for our US location in Springfield to play an active part in shaping the future of mobility. This role involves establishing and developing contacts with assigned Key Accounts to generate sustainable sales relations and achieve customer-related commercial targets. The Sales Manager will plan sales volumes and potential, provide input for forecasts, develop a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, and analyze customer situations. Leveraging a strong technical electrical engineering background, the role requires building a network of stakeholders within the Account organization, identifying opportunities for product and service portfolio solutions, and preparing customer contacts. The Sales Manager will facilitate proposal negotiations in cooperation with HQ functions in Austria and may act as a point of contact for Key Accounts on commercial or organizational matters, while also reporting sales and revenue figures. The position reports to the General Manager KB Power & Grid Solutions USA.

Requirements

  • Ideally a Master´s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Deep understanding of electrical power generation and distribution especially Instrument Transformers
  • Deep understanding of the US electrical power generation and especially distribution market
  • Very good communication and strong negotiation skills
  • Proven sales attitude as well as self-motivation and proactive approach (Hunter mentality)
  • Toughness and strong self-organization
  • High motivation in establishing a new business from scratch (Start-up mentality)
  • High willingness to travel
  • Cultural openness to work in an international industry group

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and develops contacts at all levels to the assigned Key Accounts in order to generate sustainable sales relations and thus to support the achievement of customer related commercial targets.
  • Plans sales volumes and potential of Key Accounts assigned.
  • Provides information for forecasts and planning.
  • Develops Customer Relationship Management (CRM) “database”.
  • Analyzes the specific customer situation and builds a sound network of stakeholders within the Account organization, leveraging strong technical electrical engineering background.
  • Spots opportunities for local product and service portfolio solutions sales.
  • Prepares customer contacts.
  • Facilitates negotiations of proposals, in cooperation with HQ functions based in Austria.
  • May act as a point of contact to Key Accounts in commercial or organizational matters.
  • Reports sales and revenue related figures.
