About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing sales strategy within an assigned region to drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability. This role develops and manages a high-performing sales team, builds strong customer and vendor relationships, and aligns sales efforts with company objectives. The position requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on sales engagement to support both customer acquisition and account development. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop an established sales team while shaping the strategy that drives future growth. You’ll play a key role in expanding customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and building on a strong foundation to take the business to the next level.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in HVAC, wholesale distribution, or related industry
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to drive growth and profitability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to travel

  • Professional sales or leadership training preferred
  • 2+ years of leadership or team management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Sales Representatives to achieve sales and margin targets
  • Drive sales growth through strategic planning, customer development, and market expansion
  • Establish and monitor sales goals and performance metrics for the company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and manufacturer partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and support sales team in securing and growing accounts
  • Collaborate with branch operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on inventory, pricing, and service levels
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Develop and execute business plans, including forecasting revenue and profitability
  • Support product promotions, training initiatives, and customer events to drive engagement and sales
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline management
  • Travel within the region to meet with customers, support sales team members, and strengthen relationships
