The Cleveland Orchestra—recognized among the finest orchestras in the world—seeks a dynamic and relationship-driven Sales Manager to help expand our audience and advance our mission through strategic sales and partnerships. This role is an exciting opportunity to serve as a key external ambassador for a world-renowned cultural institution. The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth and audience development by cultivating meaningful relationships with community organizations, institutions, and affinity groups. Developing and managing a robust pipeline of prospects and partners, the Sales Manager will identify opportunities to expand access through aligned organizations and networks and convert those opportunities into measurable sales outcomes and sustained engagement. W hat You’ll Do Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue and audience growth across group, affiliate, student, and partnership channels Prospect, cultivate, and secure new business through outreach, networking, and relationship-building Represent The Cleveland Orchestra in the community, expanding visibility and strengthening connections Build and sustain partnerships that generate ticket sales and support long-term audience development Collaborate with partners on group sales initiatives, promotions, and network-based outreach Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using Tessitura or similar CRM tools Track activity, monitor conversion rates, and forecast revenue with accuracy Meet or exceed revenue targets and deliver a high-touch, customer-focused experience Foster long-term relationships that encourage repeat attendance Collaborate across Marketing, Ticket Office, Education, and Development teams What You Bring Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management with a strong track record of achieving revenue goals Demonstrated success building and converting a sales pipeline Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills Experience with community organizations or partnership-driven environments preferred Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proficiency with CRM systems (Tessitura preferred) and Microsoft Office Knowledge of Northeast Ohio communities a plus Appreciation for orchestral music and the performing arts We offer a competitive salary ($60,000–$72,000), excellent benefits, generous paid time off, a 403(b) plan with employer match, complimentary concert tickets, and the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, in two of the country’s premier music venues.
