  • Strong consultative selling, account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, negotiation, and CRM skills.
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts related to gas volumes, pressure, temperature, gas composition, compression, filtration, conditioning, manifolds, telemetry, equipment utilization, and site operations.
  • Proven hunter mentality with the ability to create opportunities and develop new accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong commercial judgment and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive, technical, procurement, and operational stakeholders.
  • Self-directed, disciplined, and comfortable operating in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Texas and to customer sites, project locations, company facilities, and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, petroleum technology, energy, sales, marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Generating new revenue and expanding the organization's presence across the Texas oil-and-gas market.
  • Developing and executing a Texas oil-and-gas business development plan focused on new revenue and customer acquisition.
  • Building a target-account list across upstream operators, midstream and gathering companies, gas processors, pipeline companies, utilities, EPCs, OEMs, drilling and completions companies, and oilfield service providers.
  • Identifying customer projects, operating challenges, equipment gaps, asset constraints, and expansion plans ahead of formal procurement decisions.
  • Generating new opportunities through disciplined outbound prospecting, industry relationships, referrals, customer visits, trade shows, and technical presentations.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with executives, operations leaders, engineering, procurement, maintenance, project management, and field personnel.
  • Developing account plans for priority customers and expanding the organization's reach beyond existing relationships.
  • Leading technical discovery with customers to understand gas volumes, pressure, temperature control, gas composition, filtration, compression, site constraints, and delivery requirements.
  • Translating customer needs into fit-for-purpose technical solutions across equipment, gas infrastructure, and field services.
  • Conducting customer presentations, site visits, and commercial reviews with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Positioning the organization as a long-term equipment and infrastructure partner rather than a transactional vendor.
  • Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, operations, logistics, and finance to confirm technical feasibility, equipment availability, lead times, cost, and risk.
  • Owning the complete sales cycle from initial contact through qualification, solution development, proposal, negotiation, contract award, and handoff.
  • Developing proposals, pricing inputs, and business cases, and negotiating commercial terms within approved authority.
  • Protecting revenue, margin, risk position, and long-term customer value throughout the sales process.
  • Pursuing both equipment and recurring-revenue opportunities, including rentals, service agreements, monitoring, maintenance, and spare parts.
  • Maintaining accurate opportunity documentation, close plans, and next actions in the CRM.
  • Ensuring awarded opportunities transition smoothly to operations and project teams.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of Texas oil-and-gas activity, basin economics, drilling and production trends, midstream infrastructure, and competitor activity.
  • Providing leadership with actionable market intelligence and recommendations on target accounts and go-to-market strategies.
  • Representing the organization at industry events, customer meetings, and technical forums.
  • Building long-term relationships with customers and serving as a credible and visible representative within the market.
  • Partnering with senior leadership on target-account strategy, pipeline reviews, pricing decisions, and go/no-go decisions.
  • Working with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and logistics to ensure customer feedback informs product development and commercial commitments are executable.
  • Delivering regular pipeline, forecast, activity, and revenue updates to leadership.
  • Tracking performance against new-revenue, margin, pipeline, and customer-retention objectives.
  • Using CRM and sales analytics to prioritize accounts, maintain accurate records, and proactively address pipeline gaps.
