The Sales Manager will be responsible for conducting a successful and aggressive solicitation process, dedicating 80% of their time to active sales solicitation. This role involves making outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, and sending individual letters and direct mail. The Sales Manager will also assist the Director of Sales in preparing the annual marketing plan and action plans for assigned market segments. A key responsibility is sending proposals on all qualified leads and actively following up to convert them into definite bookings. Additionally, the Sales Manager will obtain, document, and route all necessary information for definite groups, including billing details, credit applications, rooming lists, and VIP arrangements, as well as documenting meeting and catering details for follow-up by the catering manager.
