About The Position

Capital Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, immediate hire position. The company is part of the AutoCanada dealership network, the largest Canadian-owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group in Canada and the US. The role involves executing sales objectives for new and pre-owned vehicles, developing sales plans, monitoring performance, converting leads, enhancing client relationships, and promoting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of automotive dealership sales management experience, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive dealership sales management.
  • Must have some experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices, budgeting and expense management.
  • Ability to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision makers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet required deadlines and targets.
  • A person of high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Results-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
  • Understanding of Provincial Safety code requirements for dealerships.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary education in a related discipline would be considered an asset.
  • Experience using CRM systems or other automotive software systems would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the established short, medium, and long-term sales objectives for new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
  • Develop and implement sales plans for the team to achieve monthly and annual goals.
  • Contribute ideas to and participate in the development and implementation of the dealership’s marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful conversion of iLeads to sales.
  • Monitor performance metrics related to the team, including sales and customer experience metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to further promote the dealership’s brand.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for growth.
  • Curate an exceptional client experience.
  • Develop a strong team to fully execute on the sales strategy for the dealership.
  • Develop and encourage strong working relationships with all associates and stakeholders.
  • Deliver on financial results while ensuring compliance with company policies and corporate governance.
  • Promote professional development within a team environment, ensuring associates are held accountable.
  • Lead, demonstrate, and champion a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring all safety standards, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented, and followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
