About The Position

Summary of Position Responsible for generating revenue by selling guest rooms, meeting space, and hotel services to corporate, group, and leisure clients. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability. Organizational Relationships Reports to: Director of Sales/General Manager Supervises: NA

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Knowledge of hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and revenue management principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of hotel sales or hospitality sales experience
  • The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
  • The ability to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business operations dictates
  • The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
  • The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • The ability to perform several tasks at once.
  • The ability to follow directions or instruction.
  • The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy goals
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate, group, and event business
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business
  • Conduct hotel tours and client presentations
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with clients
  • Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analyses
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of sales activities into the CRM system
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Sales Team, Managers and Directors.
