About The Position

Directs all aspects of sales of Company products. Designs and implements sales strategies, forecasts sales, supervises in-house sales personnel, maintains relations with independent agents, provides field and in-house training, handles advertising, printing of materials, and qualifies Company agents, employees, and programs in various states.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university and five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write speeches, presentations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to deliver speeches and presentations to top management, other employees, and/or board of directors.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Basic understanding of quality control, production, ability to interpret blueprints, proficient skills in sales, marketing, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish and attain sales goals.
• Hire, manage, and motivate sales personnel.
• Oversee training of sales personnel.
• Implement marketing strategy.
• Maintain effective budget control of sales expenses.
• Maintain files of in-house and competitive programs.
• Develop and maintain effective customer relations.
• Negotiate and assure that the terms and conditions of each sale are met.
• Coordinate, where appropriate, sales opportunities with other divisions.
• Oversee filing, updates, and renewal of various programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate on project teams as requested.
