About The Position

CSL Seqirus is a global leader in influenza prevention and pandemic preparedness, and in licenses and commercialises differentiated pharmaceuticals that fulfil unmet treatment needs. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager/ Territory Manger, South Island to drive the growth and profitability of the portfolio through commercial sales strategy while also leading the NZ sales team. This is a hybrid role on an 18-month fixed term contract. As Sales Manager you will maximise the revenue and profitability of the product portfolio through the development and execution of a commercial sales strategy. Alongside this role, as the Senior Territory Manager you will develop business relationships between CSL Seqirus and key healthcare providers within the South Island territory, creating the opportunity to achieve key objectives including sales targets. This position is based in Christchurch.

Requirements

  • Degree in a science-related or business discipline (eg. science, pharmacy, commerce or nursing)
  • NZ Pharmaceutical / vaccine Industry experience and understanding (including sales experience)
  • People leadership and management experience
  • Strategic approach to product/portfolio promotion
  • Ability to both lead and participate in a team
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing and sales representatives/KAM’s

Responsibilities

  • Drive, motivate and lead the sales team to achieve key business objectives including sales targets.
  • Develop and ensure effective translation of marketing plans into tactical sales plans
  • Ensure strategic focus of the sales team, focused implementation with clear key performance indicators.
  • Monitor and evaluate direct reports’ performance to ensure ongoing alignment with commercial plans and personal objectives
  • Continue to grow the competencies and skill of the sales team through ongoing in-field coaching, and building and supporting their development plans
  • Achieve coverage and frequency of calls to target customers in line with cycle objectives
  • Manage and update CRM database and targeting models
  • Identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders to drive strategy
