About The Position

Vans is hiring a Sales Lead to support the store leadership team in achieving strong customer engagement and sales results. The Sales Lead models the Vans brand, provides sales-related feedback, and coaches associate performance in an inclusive environment that celebrates individuality and authenticity. The role may offer a path to develop toward future retail leadership.

Requirements

• Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
• Proven ability to drive results through team coaching and operational excellence.
• Skill in coaching, motivating, and building high-performing, diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Solution-oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and meet business expectations.
• Comfort using word processing, spreadsheets, and retail software tools.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting light to moderate weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• One year of related professional retail experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized customer engagement through genuine interactions.
• Assist in achieving store sales and goals by monitoring sales progress and results against key targets.
• Promote a consumer-centric mindset and inclusive store environment, modeling effective selling behaviors.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and supervision to associates.
• Occasionally assume responsibility for the store when another manager is absent, including covering breaks or meal periods or opening the store without a supervisor or manager.
• Provide a high level of customer service to consumers in the store.
• Give actionable feedback to store associates and follow company policies, procedures, and practices.
