About The Position

The Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist-Lead/Sales Lead is the face of the business and helps ensure a positive journey for every patient and customer. The role requires knowledge of optics, products and services, and managed vision care. The Senior Optical Specialist guides patients and customers through the Visionworks experience and helps meet their eyewear needs. The role requires 12 months of prior optical industry experience, unless the applicant has ABO Certification in lieu of experience. The specialist must maintain any license requirements set by state guidelines and dispense eyewear where required and if licensed.

Requirements

12 months of optical experience within Visionworks or another organization, or ABO Certification in lieu of experience.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Maintain optician license requirements according to state guidelines, as needed.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey.
Engage with patients and customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
Measure patients and customers for eyewear and maintain product and optical knowledge through ongoing training and development to ensure eyewear is right the first time.
Troubleshoot eyewear needs as necessary.
Execute day-to-day operational activities that support store financial and customer experience goals, including opening and closing the store as needed in Lead positions.
Maintain license requirements according to state guidelines, as applicable, and dispense eyewear where required and if licensed.
